Avocado and Beet Burger

Ingredients

  • 5 buns
  • 500 g mixed ground meat
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 egg
  • 30 g clarified butter
  • 4 slices Chester cheese
  • 1 ripe Avocado
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 cooked, peeled beets
  • Cress (for garnish)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven grill. Cut off the tops of 4 rolls. Soak the remaining roll in lukewarm water. Mix the ground meat with mustard, salt, pepper, egg and well-drained roll to form 4 patties.

    Brown the patties in a pan with hot clarified butter, turning them. Top each with a slice of cheese and melt under the preheated oven grill. Halve the avocado, remove the pit, squeeze out the flesh from the skin and cut into strips. Mix immediately with lemon juice.

    Slice the beet halves into thin strips. Toast the bun halves on a hot grill or in a hot grill pan, top each with a cheese patty, some avocado slices, beet strips and cress. Serve immediately.
