Asian Spiced Milk Tea

Ingredients

  • 3 black peppercorns
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 tsp black tea (e.g., Assam)
  • 200 ml milk
  • Honey to taste

Instructions

    Bring the peppercorns, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and star anise with 500 ml water to a boil and let simmer gently for about 10 minutes.

    Remove from heat, add the black tea, and steep for 3-5 minutes. Strain and pour into glasses.

    Heat the milk and froth it with a whisk or milk frother, then spoon the foam over the glasses. Sweeten the Asian spiced milk tea to taste with honey and serve.
