The Apricot Jam with a Splash from Spoonsparrow is a special highlight on the breakfast table.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg apricots
  • 1 packet citric acid
  • 500 g gelatin sugar (2:1)
  • 40 ml orange liqueur

Instructions

    Boil the apricots, shock them in ice water, peel, halve, pit and cut into small pieces.

    Combine fruit, citric acid and gelatin sugar in a large pot. Cover and let steep for 30 minutes to allow some juice to form.

    Bring to a boil over high heat while stirring, then simmer for at least 3 minutes with bubbles. Add the orange liqueur during the last seconds.

    Fill jars with jam to the brim, seal immediately. Place lids on top of the jars for about 5 minutes.
