Ingredients

  • 6 small artichokes
  • Salt
  • juice of one lemon
  • 1 small red chili pepper (deveined and finely chopped)
  • Salt
  • black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • black olives
  • Baguette

Instructions

    Remove stems from the artichokes, break off lower leaves. Trim hard leaf tips and halve the artichokes.

    Cook the artichokes in boiling salted water with lemon juice for about 30 minutes, then drain.

    Whisk vinegar, oil, chili pieces, salt and pepper into a sauce; let the artichokes soak in it briefly and serve with olives.

    Serve alongside baguette strips.
