Almond Gugelhupf

Ingredients
- 1 cube yeast
- 200 warm milk
- 80 g honey
- 2 Eggs
- 500 g flour
- 125 g butter
- 50 g Raisins
- 150 g peeled almond kernels
- 2 tbsp rum
- Salt

Crumble yeast into a bowl and stir with milk, honey, eggs, and a pinch of salt. Sift flour over it and mix everything with a dough hook. Dot butter in small pieces on top and knead for another 3 minutes.

Dust dough with a little flour and cover to rise in a warm place for 30 minutes. Drizzle raisins with rum and let soak. Grease the Gugelhupf pan well. Place 20 almonds into the indentation, roughly chop the rest and mix them with the rum-soaked raisins into the dough.

Fill the dough into the pan and let it rise again covered for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 180°C and bake the Gugelhupf for 50-60 minutes. Let it sit in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a plate.
