Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 150 g butter
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 300 g yogurt (3.5%)
  • 300 g flour
  • 100 g starch
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 300 ml mineral water
  • soft butter (for the waffle iron)

Instructions

    Separate the eggs and beat the whites with salt into stiff peaks. Beat the butter with sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon until fluffy. Stir in the yolks, then add yogurt and whisk. Mix flour with starch and baking powder. Quickly fold in and add enough water to reach a thick batter consistency. Fold in the egg whites.

    Heat the waffle iron and spread with a little butter. Pour a ladleful of batter into the iron, close it, and bake until golden brown. Keep finished waffles warm at 80°C fan oven if desired.
