Ingredients
- 500 g red apples (3 red apples)
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 1 pack puff pastry (275 g, rectangular)
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 6 tsp unsweetened applesauce (30 g)
- 5 g Butter (1 tsp)
Instructions

Wash apples, dry and slice thinly on a mandoline.

Add apple slices to a bowl with lemon juice and mix.

Cut puff pastry into 5 cm wide strips, spread with applesauce and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Drain apple slices. Layer several overlapping slices on the top edge of each strip, fold over the bottom edge, roll to form a rose shape. Butter a 6‑cup muffin tin and place the pastry roses inside.

Bake in a preheated oven at 160 °C (140 °C fan; gas: level 2) for about 25–30 minutes until golden yellow. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
