Winter Punch with Cream

Ingredients

  • 800 ml light red wine
  • 50 ml rum
  • 1 untreated orange (zest)
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp cardamom pods
  • 1 star anise
  • 50 g brown sugar (more or less to taste)
  • 4 tbsp whipping cream
  • cinnamon powder

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Heat the red wine together with the rum, orange zest and spices in a pot until just before boiling. Do not boil; let it steep at low temperature for 10-15 minutes.

    Strain into glasses using a sieve and place a dollop of whipped cream on top of each glass.

    Sprinkle with cinnamon powder and serve.
