  • 150 g spelt
  • 2 tbsp instant broth
  • 750 g white cabbage
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 3 pomegranates
  • 1 bunch chives
  • Salt
  • ground pepper

Instructions

  1. 1.

Soak the spelt overnight, then cook with the broth in 300 ml boiling water for 40 minutes. Drain.

  2. 2.

Clean and finely shred the white cabbage, rinse and drain. Heat oil in a very large skillet. Sauté the cabbage while stirring, add the spelt, and continue sautéing.

  3. 3.

Halve two pomegranates, squeeze their juice using a citrus press and pour it into the skillet. Cook for 10 minutes. Slice the remaining pomegranate and remove the seeds.

  4. 4.

Rinse the chives and cut them into fine ribbons. Season the white cabbage-spelt skillet with salt, pepper, sugar, and cardamom. Sprinkle with pomegranate seeds and chives before serving.
