Ingredients
- 100 g marzipan base
- 2 egg whites
- 100 g ground walnuts
- 50 g sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- Lemon (juice)
- 2 tsp grated lemon zest
- butter (for the baking sheet)
- 35 walnut half kernels (for decoration)

Preheat the oven to 160°C. Grease a baking sheet with butter.

Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add salt, sugar, lemon juice and zest, continuing to beat until the mixture is very stiff. Finely chop the marzipan, mix it with the ground walnuts, and gently fold both into the meringue. Using two damp teaspoons, scoop small heaps onto the sheet, spacing them apart, and place a walnut half on each.

Bake at medium height for about 25 minutes. Remove and let cool.
