Vegetable Buttermilk Shake

Ingredients

  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 5 bunch carrots
  • 750 ml cold buttermilk
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • salt, cayenne pepper
  • 4 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

    Quarter the bell pepper, clean, rinse and cut into pieces. Peel the carrots, leaving the green tops on four of them for garnish; set aside. Cut the remaining carrots into small pieces. Blend the pepper, carrots, buttermilk and lemon juice in a blender. Season with salt and cayenne pepper.

    Serve the buttermilk shake in glasses topped with a carrot stick and sprinkled with sesame seeds.
