Vegan Black Bean and Walnut Spread

Ingredients

  • 100 g black beans (canned; drained weight)
  • 0.5 Red Onion
  • 30 g walnut kernels
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 3 tbsp red grape juice
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 0.25 tsp sumac

Instructions

    Rinse the beans and drain them. Peel the onion and dice it finely. Roughly chop the walnuts. Wash the rosemary, shake dry, and mince the needles.

    Heat the oil in a small pan, sauté the onions and walnuts for 3 minutes over medium heat. Place the beans, half of the onions, nuts, grape juice, and rosemary into a tall glass. Blend everything together with an immersion blender.
