The Turkish angel hair cake by Spoonsparrow brings a Levantine flair to German cuisine as a typical dessert!

Ingredients

  • 250 g Turkish thread noodles (Tel Kadayif)
  • 200 g Cream cheese
  • 50 g butter
  • 60 g whole tube sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 20 g coarsely chopped pistachios (for sprinkling)

Instructions

    Add the whole tube sugar to 150 ml water in a pot and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, then stir in the lemon juice and remove from heat.

    Melt the butter and mix it with the noodles. Rub well by hand so the noodles separate and the butter distributes evenly. Press half of the noodles into a small springform pan, spread the cream cheese on top. Then add the remaining noodles and press them down.
