Trifle

Ingredients
- 1 ready-made light sponge cake base
- 1 ready-made dark sponge cake base
- 1 glass of blackcurrant jam
- 1 tbsp cherry liqueur
- 1 can mixed fruit
- 1 can raspberries
- 1 tbsp raspberry brandy
- 1 tbsp pear schnapps
- 250 ml Whipping Cream
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 packet red glaze (for fruit cakes)

Cut the cake bases into roughly 4 cm cubes. Drain the blackcurrants and reserve the juice. Mix blackcurrants with cherry liqueur. Drain the mixed fruit and reserve the juice. Mix the fruit with pear schnapps. Drain the raspberries and reserve the juice. Mix raspberries with raspberry brandy. Combine the various juices and, following the package instructions, prepare a red glaze.

In a large bowl layer brown cake cubes, moistening them with warm glaze. Top with blackcurrants, raspberries, and mixed fruit. Pour more glaze over the layers and repeat with cake cubes and glaze. Continue layering until all ingredients are used. Whip the cream with vanilla sugar until thick and pour it over the layered dessert. Refrigerate.
