Ingredients

  • 175 g spelt flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 60 g fine brown sugar
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 50 g colorful chocolate chips
  • 1 egg
  • 125 g butter (room temperature)

Instructions

    Prepare a 300 ml mason jar for gifting. First pour the flour with salt and baking soda into the jar, then add the cocoa powder. Mix the sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over the mixture. Finish with chocolate chips and seal the jar.

    Write the baking instructions on a card and attach it to the jar.

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) for baking.

    Beat the egg with butter until creamy. Stir spoonfuls of the cookie dough into the batter. Drop teaspoon-sized dough balls onto parchment-lined sheet and bake 10-15 minutes. Cookies should be crisp on the outside and still soft inside. Remove carefully from tray and let cool.
