Ingredients
- 1 small ripe avocado
- 8 basil leaves
- Lemon juice
- 400 ml tomato juice
- 4 ice cubes
- Salt
- ground pepper
- Tabasco
- basil for garnish
- 2 pumpernickel plates

Halve the avocado, remove the pit and scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Finely chop the basil leaves.

Blend the avocado with lemon juice, tomato juice, ice cubes and basil strips until smooth. Season with salt, pepper and a splash of Tabasco, then pour into two tall glasses. Garnish with basil and serve on pumpernickel plates.
