Ingredients

  • 1 ready-made sponge cake base (3 layers, light, from the pastry chef)
  • 0.5 l whipping cream
  • 6 cups espresso
  • 125 g dark chocolate
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

Instructions

    Cut the cake layers into rectangles, place them in a dish and drizzle with 2 cups of very strong espresso.

    Whip the cream with vanilla sugar until very stiff and pour it over the cake. Cut chocolate shavings and sprinkle them over the cream.

    Repeat by adding more cake rectangles, drizzling 2 cups of espresso, then adding cream and chocolate shavings, continuing until no ingredients remain. Finish with a sponge layer.

    Refrigerate for 1 hour to set. Then cut into portions, serve with additional whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings.
