Ingredients
- 1 carp ca. 1.2 kg (ready to cook without head)
- vegetable oil (for the pan)
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 untreated orange
- 2 tbsp honey
- 50 g walnut kernels

Preheat oven to 180°C with fan and top heat. Grease a baking dish with oil.

Cut the orange in half, slice one half into rounds, and juice the other half.

Rinse the carp thoroughly and make 4-5 shallow cuts on one side of the flesh. Season inside and out with salt and pepper, then stuff with orange slices. Place the fish cut-side up in the dish. Mix honey with orange juice and brush over the fish. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top and bake for about 40 minutes. Occasionally spoon liquid over the fish and add water if needed.
