Texas Chili Dogs

Ingredients
- 2 Tomatoes
- 2 small onions
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 red chili pepper
- 200 g kidney beans (canned)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 300 g Ground Beef
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- 0.5 tbsp tomato paste
- 4 hot dogs (or Vienna sausages)
- 4 Hot Dog buns

Peel and finely dice the tomatoes. Peel and finely dice the onions and garlic. Halve, deseed, wash, dry, and finely chop the chili pepper. Drain and let the kidney beans dry. Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the ground beef with onions and garlic vigorously.

Add the chili pepper and kidney beans, season with cumin powder, salt, and pepper. Add the tomatoes, stir well, and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes, adding a little water if needed. Then taste and adjust with tomato paste, cumin, salt, and pepper.

Grill or warm the sausages in hot water, briefly toast the buns in a preheated oven, then cut them lengthwise. Spread the chili thickly on both halves of each bun, place the sausage in the middle, fold together, and serve immediately.
