Ingredients

  • 1 roasted nori sheet
  • 1 piece cucumber (about 5 cm)
  • 20 basil leaves (e.g., Tulsi)
  • 150 g ready-made sushi rice
  • 1 tbsp wasabi

Instructions

    Cut the Nori sheet in half.

    Wash the cucumber, pat dry, halve it, remove seeds and slice into very thin strips. Wash and pat dry the basil.

    Place a halved Nori sheet on the bamboo mat. Spread half of the sushi rice over it, leaving a narrow border at the top. In the middle of the rice spread a strip of wasabi paste and lay the basil leaves on top (they should extend beyond the edges to the left and right). Place cucumber strips over them so that some tips also extend beyond the edges. Roll everything up with the help of the bamboo mat. Cut into four pieces. Repeat the process with the second half of the Nori sheet.
