Stuffed Bell Peppers with Ground Meat

Ingredients
- 6 red bell pepper halves
- 1 roll of bread
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 400 g mixed ground meat
- 100 g cooked rice
- 250 ml broth
- 1 egg
- Salt
- black pepper (freshly ground)
- 4 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
- 3 tomatoes (peeled, seeded and chopped into large pieces)

Wash the bell peppers, cut off the tops, rinse the halves and remove the seeds. Soak the bread in lukewarm water. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic, then sauté them in 1 tbsp oil. Mix the ground meat, egg, drained bread and rice; add the onion-garlic mixture and season with salt and pepper. Fill the bell pepper halves with the mixture, replace the tops and brush with the remaining olive oil. Stir tomato paste with broth and paprika powder, pour into a pot with the chopped tomatoes, then place the stuffed peppers on top. Seal tightly and cook over low heat for about 45 minutes; add a little water if necessary.
