Strawberry Preserve

Ingredients

  • 1 kg strawberries
  • 1 Organic lemon
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 500 g 2:1 invert sugar
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Clean, wash and quarter the strawberries. Cut the lemon in half, squeeze out the juice and blend it with the strawberries in a blender until smooth. Mix the puree with the spices and sugar and let it sit for 1 hour.

    Meanwhile sterilize jars and lids by boiling them in a large pot of hot water for about 10 minutes. Remove the jars from the water and turn them upside down on clean kitchen towels to cool.
