Ingredients

  • 1.5 l light white wine (Grüner Veltliner)
  • 1 bottle sparkling wine (or mineral water)
  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 bundle wild marjoram
  • 500 g strawberries

Instructions

    Wash strawberries, pat dry and halve them. Rinse the wild marjoram under running water, pluck the leaves, set aside a few for garnish.

    Pour the chilled wine over the wild marjoram. Grate the lemon zest and squeeze its juice; add both to the bowl. Let steep for 20 minutes, then strain through a sieve. Add strawberries and sugar, top with chilled sparkling wine or mineral water, and decorate with wild marjoram leaves.
