Ingredients

  • 200 g fragrant rice (e.g., basmati)
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

    Bring the rice to a boil in a pot with about four times its volume of water (approximately 800 ml). Cook for 5 minutes (season as desired) and then strain into a sieve.

    Add the butter to the pot and pour in about 100 ml of water. Arrange the rice in a pyramid shape. Cover with a kitchen towel and seal tightly with the lid. Steam over very low heat for 10-15 minutes, then serve.
