Spiced Basmati Rice

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 piece ginger (walnut-sized)
- 2 tbsp plant oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 250 g Basmati rice
- 2 tbsp Lime juice
- 500 ml vegetable broth
- 2 star anise
- 0.5 tsp Coriander seeds
- 1 stick cinnamon (about 2 cm long)
- Salt
- Pepper

Peel and finely chop the onion, garlic, and ginger.

Heat oil and butter in a pot. Sauté the chopped ingredients with the spices over low to medium heat for 2 minutes. Add the basmati rice and stir for 1 minute. Deglaze with lime juice and vegetable broth.
