Spaghetti with Green Pesto

Whole wheat spaghetti tastes hearty and provides many nutrients that are good for you and your child.

Ingredients

  • 150 g whole wheat spaghetti
  • Salt
  • 1 bunch Basil
  • 30 g pine nuts (2 tbsp)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Pepper
  • 40 g Parmesan

Instructions

    Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente.

    Meanwhile, wash and dry the basil leaves. Pick off the leaves, set some aside, and roughly chop the rest.

    Add pine nuts and olive oil to a blender or food processor and puree finely. Season with salt and pepper.

    Drain the spaghetti, let it drain briefly, then place in a bowl. Stir in the pesto and garnish with basil leaves. Grate or thinly shave parmesan on top and serve.
