Ingredients

  • 400 g spaghetti
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 pepperoncini
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 bunch Basil
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the spaghetti. Peel and chop the garlic, crush the pepperoncini.

    Wash, clean, quarter, core, and slice the tomatoes into strips.

    Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the garlic, tomatoes, and pepperoncini, and sauté lightly so the garlic does not become bitter.

    Remove the pan from heat. Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente.

    Wash the basil, shake off excess moisture, pluck the leaves, and chop them.

    Just before the spaghetti is done, reheat the pan, add 3-4 tbsp of pasta water, and stir.

    Sprinkle the basil over the mixture and combine well.

    Serve immediately on warmed plates.
