Spaghetti Bolognese Casserole
The simple and tasty pasta casserole with ground meat is always delicious and can be wonderfully prepped.
Ingredients
- 150 g Mushrooms
- 2 dried tomatoes (pickled in oil)
- 1 large onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 400 g mixed ground meat
- 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 500 g peeled tomatoes
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 0.5 tsp dried thyme
- 0.5 tsp Dried oregano
- sugar
- 400 g tagliatelle
- 50 g Parmesan
- 200 g shredded mozzarella

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan.

Clean and slice the mushrooms thinly. Drain and chop the dried tomatoes. Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. In a pot, briefly sauté in hot oil. Add the ground meat and cook until crumbly. Stir in tomato paste, mushrooms, dried tomatoes, and peeled tomatoes. Season with salt, pepper, thyme, oregano, and sugar.

Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water. About 2 minutes before the end of cooking time (varies by brand), drain and let rest. Return to the pot and mix with the tomato sauce. Stir in half the parmesan. Transfer to a large baking dish, top with mozzarella and sprinkle remaining parmesan. Bake in preheated oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
