Ingredients
- 600 g macaroni (or elbow pasta)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 onions
- 1 Garlic clove
- 4 eggs
- 200 g heavy cream
- 200 g grated Emmental cheese
- 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
- butter (for the pan)
Instructions

Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until al dente according to package instructions, drain, rinse with cold water and let it dry well. Peel and finely chop onions and garlic. Sauté them in butter until translucent, then stir in the macaroni and season with salt and pepper.

Whisk eggs with heavy cream and fold into the pasta mixture. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Mix Emmental and parmesan cheeses together and sprinkle over the pasta. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
