Ingredients

  • 500 g mixed ground meat (pork, beef)
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 100 g mushrooms
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 500 g tomatoes
  • 1 small glass white wine
  • 200 ml meat broth
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt
  • black pepper (freshly ground)
  • freshly grated nutmeg
  • 400 g spaghetti

Instructions

    Peel and dice the onion. Peel the carrots, cut them lengthwise into quarters, then into small pieces. Wash the bell pepper, halve it, remove seeds, and cut into squares. Peel the garlic cloves and finely chop. Cut the mushrooms into small pieces. Wash the tomatoes, blanch them briefly, peel, halve, and cube. Heat oil in a tall pan. Brown the ground meat quickly. Deglaze with white wine and stir well.

    Stir in tomato paste and simmer for 2 minutes. Add onions, bell pepper, carrots, and garlic. Reduce heat. Add tomatoes, meat broth, and oregano. Season with salt, pepper, sugar, and nutmeg. Cover and let simmer on low heat for 40 minutes. Cook spaghetti in plenty of salted water. Drain, combine with the Bolognese sauce, and serve hot immediately. Optionally garnish with grated Parmesan.
