Ingredients
- 1 kg sour cherries
- 1 untreated lemon
- 150 g sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 400 ml red wine

Wash and pit the cherries. Peel the lemon zest, then combine with sugar, cinnamon stick, and red wine in a pot and bring to a boil.

Add the cherries and simmer for about 5 minutes.

Transfer to two prepared jars and seal tightly. Store in a cool, dark place.
