Ingredients

  • 3 untreated oranges
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 60 ml rum (or non-alcoholic rum)

    Squeeze one orange to extract juice, slice the remaining two into rounds and cut each round in half.

    Brown the sugar in a saucepan until caramelized, then deglaze with the orange juice (watch for splattering). Add the rum and reduce to a syrupy consistency. Place the orange slices in the sauce and gently stir them so they coat evenly while warming.
