Simple Chocolate Mousse by Spoonsparrow: A handful of ingredients turn into a mousse in zero minutes – very easy!

(1)

Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa content)
  • 3 very fresh eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 200 g whipping cream
  • 40 g white chocolate

Instructions

  1. 1.

Coarsely chop the chocolate and melt it over a hot, non-boiling water bath. Remove from heat and let cool to lukewarm.

  2. 2.

Separate the eggs; beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form and set aside cold. Whip the cream until stiff. Quickly stir the yolks into the lukewarm chocolate. Fold in the whipped cream onto the chocolate mixture, whisking briskly before it sets. Finally, gently fold in the beaten egg whites.

  3. 3.

Fill simple chocolate mousse into glasses and cover. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Before serving, shave the white chocolate with a sharp knife into flakes and decorate the glasses with them.
