Simple Apple Cake

A simple sunken apple cake that is quick to make and impresses without much fuss. Try it and taste the difference!
Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 150 g soft butter
- 150 g sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 700 g sour apples (4 sour apples)
- 3 tbsp sugar
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions

Beat the softened butter with salt and sugar until fluffy, then stir in the eggs and fold in the flour with baking powder.

Peel, quarter, core the apples and make a few shallow cuts on the back side without cutting through.

Pour the batter into a greased pan.

Place the apples into the batter and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 45 minutes.

Remove, let cool slightly, then unmold onto a cooling rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
