Bake the shortbread cookies from Spoonsparrow during the Christmas season. A classic that always comes back in favor.
Ingredients
- vanilla pods
- 125 g flour
- 125 g flour (Type 1050)
- 50 g raw cane sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 egg
- 125 g butter

Split the vanilla pod in half and scrape out the seeds. Quickly knead together the flours, raw cane sugar, salt, vanilla seeds, egg, and butter, then wrap the dough in foil and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Roll the dough into 3 mm thick sheets, cut into desired shapes, and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan; gas: level 3) for about 10 minutes until golden yellow.
