Pearl Cookies

The pearl cookies from Spoonsparrow are quick to prepare and a real eye-catcher – perfect for gifting.

Ingredients

  • 150 g flour
  • 10 g starch
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 100 g softened butter
  • 50 g fine sugar
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • silver sugar pearls

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 160°C fan-forced. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

    Mix the flour with the starch and baking powder. Beat the butter with the sugar, vanilla sugar and salt using an electric mixer. Fold in half of the flour mixture, then knead the remaining flour into the dough by hand. Shape the dough into a roll about 4 cm in diameter and cut it into slices about 1/2 cm thick. Press each slice into small shell molds, remove them, and place on the tray. Put one pearl in the center of each cookie and bake in the oven for about 5 minutes until light yellow.
