Ingredients
- 400 g flour
- 250 g brown sugar
- 2 pinch salt
- 300 g butter

Mix the flour with the sugar and salt in a bowl. Cut the butter into the mixture with a dough whisk until smooth, knead into a dough, wrap in cling film and chill for about 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) fan‑fry. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Roll the dough out evenly to 1–2 cm thickness into a rectangle and place on the tray. Prick the dough in rows with a toothpick and bake for 20–30 minutes until golden brown. Cut the hot shortbread into strips of about 2×8 cm. Cool on a wire rack.
