Semolina Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 0.5 ml milk
  • 150 g semolina
  • 2 Eggs
  • Salt
  • freshly grated nutmeg
  • 2 stale rolls
  • 30 g Butter
  • zucchini-cinnamon mixture (for sprinkling)
  • 300 g peaches
  • 300 g pears
  • 200 g plums
  • 200 g strawberries
  • 250 ml Water
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • grated lemon zest

    Wash all fruit. Halve the peaches, remove pits, cut halves into wedges. Peel, halve, core, quarter and slice pears. Halve, pit and slice plums into wedges. Depending on size, halve or quarter strawberries. Boil water with sugar, lemon juice and zest; add prepared fruits and simmer for 5 minutes. Add strawberries in the last minute. Let compote cool. Serve 2-3 dumplings per plate, dust with cinnamon-sugar and spoon over the compote.
