Seaweed Salad (Goma Wakame)

This iodine-rich seaweed salad from Spoonsparrow tastes great as a snack or in a rice bowl.

Ingredients

  • 15 g light sesame seeds
  • 120 g fresh wakame seaweed
  • 1 tsp Lime juice
  • 0.5 tsp rice syrup
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil

Instructions

    Toast the sesame in a hot pan without oil for 3 minutes over medium heat until lightly browned, then remove and let cool.

    Wash and drain the seaweed, place it in a bowl, and season with lime juice, rice syrup, and pepper.

    Stir in the toasted sesame and sesame oil, then serve immediately.
