Pickled Pumpkin

The pickled pumpkin is spicy and slightly sweet. With vitamin A and zinc it serves as a balm for our beauty.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg pumpkin
  • 100 ml wine vinegar
  • 250 g raw cane sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 10 g ginger

Instructions

    Clean, wash or peel the pumpkin if necessary and cut the flesh into cubes. Place them in a pot and add enough water to just cover the pumpkin. Add wine vinegar, sugar, salt, cinnamon, cloves. Peel the ginger and slice it thinly, then add it to the pumpkin.

    Bring to a boil and simmer for 6-8 minutes over medium heat. While still hot, pour into sterilized jars and seal them tightly.
