Ingredients

  • 1 kg mussels (washed and cleaned)
  • 200 ml white wine
  • 1 finely chopped garlic clove
  • 1 small green peppercorn pod
  • juice of one orange
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 300 g cooked peeled shrimp
  • 300 g squid (pre‑cooked)
  • juice of one lemon
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped herbs (dill, tarragon, chives)
  • 10 Cherry tomatoes
  • Salt
  • edible flowers (for garnish)

Instructions

    Bring wine to a boil in a pot, add mussels and cook covered for about 5 minutes, shaking the pot occasionally. Remove mussels, discard any still closed ones, and release the mussel meat.

    Finely chop peppercorn pod and garlic, mix with orange juice and 3 tbsp olive oil, then combine shrimp and squid rings and marinate for 15 minutes. Heat remaining olive oil in a pan with garlic, quickly sauté shrimp and squid rings. Season with salt, drizzle lemon juice, sprinkle herbs, let cool slightly, then mix with mussels.

    Cover, refrigerate, and let rest about 1 hour. Serve by arranging on a plate with tomatoes and garnish with edible flowers as desired.
