Scones with Cranberries

Ingredients

  • 225 g flour (and a little extra for the work surface)
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 10 g sugar (1 tsp)
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 50 g room‑temperature butter
  • 150 g 1.5% fat yogurt
  • 40 g dried cranberries
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

    Knead flour with baking powder, sugar, salt, butter and yogurt until well combined. Fold in the cranberries.

    Roll the dough to a thickness of 2 cm on a floured surface. Cut out circles about 5 cm in diameter.

    Place scones on a parchment‑lined tray. Separate the egg; whisk the yolk with 1 tbsp water and brush over the scones.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 225 °C (200 °C fan, gas 3–4) for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
