Ingredients
- 50 g butter
- 250 g onions
- 1 kg sauerkraut
- 1 large apple (ca. 200 g)
- 150 g lean bacon
- 20 juniper berries
- 0.25 l beef broth (from the can)
- 6 slices pork belly
- 4 thick mett sausages
- 4 garlic sausages
- 400 g starchy potatoes

Heat butter in a pot. Sauté peeled, diced onions until translucent, then add shredded sauerkraut. Peel, core, and slice the apple into wedges, add to the pot. Dice bacon finely, stir in, and cook for 10 minutes. Add juniper berries, pour in 1/4 l beef broth. Embed pork belly slices into the kraut. Cover and simmer gently over low heat for about 40 minutes. Add sausages during the last 15 minutes. Peel, wash potatoes, boil in salted water for 20 minutes, then drain.

Arrange sauerkraut on a large preheated platter. Place meat and sausages on top and serve with potatoes.
