Creamy salmon ham and cream cheese toasts topped with fried pear slices: a hearty snack for dinner or a quick bite – this dense bread snack delivers satisfying fiber.

Ingredients

  • 200 g firm pears (1 firm pear)
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 slices whole‑grain bread (≈50 g each, or 4 small with nuts)
  • 2 tbsp (≈50 g) cream cheese (13 % fat)
  • 4 slices turkey smoked salmon
  • 4 leaves radicchio

Instructions

  1. 1.

Wash the pear, pat dry, quarter it, core it and slice into thin rounds.

  2. 2.

Heat oil and butter in a pan. Fry the pear slices over medium heat for 2 minutes on each side. Lightly salt, pepper, then let cool.

  3. 3.

Spread cream cheese on the bread slices. Arrange the fried pear slices and smoked salmon on top.

  4. 4.

Wash radicchio, shake dry and cut into very fine strips. Sprinkle over the prepared toasts and serve.

  5. 5.

If you want to take the toasts on the go, halve them before topping and wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
