Ingredients

  • 250 g long grain rice
  • Salt
  • 3 red apples
  • 4 red onions
  • 250 g Brussels sprouts
  • 20 g butter
  • pepper (ground)
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 5 g saffron

    Cook the rice in sparkling water with a pinch of salt at a 1:2 ratio for 20-25 minutes.

    Wash the apples, quarter them, remove the core, and cut into strips. Peel and quarter the onions. Wash the Brussels sprouts, trim ends, blanch in boiling salted water for 5-7 minutes, then drain. In a pan melt the butter and sauté the onions, apple strips, and Brussels sprouts for 3-5 minutes. Mix the cooked rice with the vegetables and season with salt, pepper, turmeric, and saffron. Arrange everything on a preheated plate and serve.
