Ingredients

  • 4 onions
  • butter clarified
  • Salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • butter
  • 4 rump steaks (200 g each)

    Peel the onions and cut them into rings. Heat 1 tablespoon of clarified butter and brown the onion rings until golden yellow, then lightly salt and pepper. Remove and keep warm.

    Wash the tomatoes, remove the stem ends, score crosswise, and place a small pat of butter on each. Score the fat edge of the steaks at 1 cm intervals. Place the steaks and tomatoes on a hot grill. Grill the meat for 2-3 minutes per side. Season the grilled meat with salt and pepper, then plate it with the tomatoes. Serve each with a pat of butter and roasted onions. Pair with fried potatoes.
