Fried Shrimp
Crispy shrimp packed with protein and a salad full of vital nutrients – try this simple recipe from Spoonsparrow!
Ingredients
- 12 shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 4 iceberg lettuce leaves
- 1 small carrot
- 2 Spring Onions
- 1 small red chili pepper
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp Sweet paprika powder
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 3 tbsp Sesame oil
- Salt
- black pepper (ground)
- 50 g cashew nuts

Wash the shrimp, pat dry and marinate in soy sauce.

Wash lettuce leaves and gently pat dry. Peel and trim carrot, cut into very thin strips about 5 cm long. Wash spring onions, trim and slice diagonally into rolls. Wash chili pepper, deseed and dice finely. Mix flour with paprika powder and sesame seeds. Remove shrimp from soy sauce and coat in the flour-sesame mixture. Heat sesame oil in a large pan, add chili and shrimp and fry 2-3 minutes until crisp. Season with salt and pepper. Then remove shrimp and sauté carrot, spring onions and cashews in remaining fat for about 3 minutes. Return shrimp, toss briefly, then fill lettuce leaves. Plate the fried shrimp on bowls and serve.
