Ingredients

  • 800 g waxy potatoes
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • salt (pepper)
  • 4 tbsp germ oil
  • 20 g butter
  • 3 onions
  • 250 ml red wine
  • salt (pepper)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • butter

Instructions

    Cook the potatoes in salted water until tender, peel and press through a potato masher. Let cool. Add egg yolks and flour, mix into a smooth dough. Season well with salt and pepper. With floured hands shape about 1 cm thick patties. Heat oil and butter in a pan and fry the patties golden brown on both sides for 2-3 minutes.

    Peel and slice onions into rings. Melt some butter in a pan and sauté the onions until soft. Add red wine, sugar, salt and pepper, stirring well. Reduce to about half the volume.

    Serve with mixed salad or sauerkraut.
