Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp raisins
  • 60 ml dark rum (or alcohol‑free rum)
  • 4 ripe apples (e.g., Boskop)
  • 50 g melted butter
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp almond sticks
  • butter (for the dish)
  • 4 tbsp liquid honey

Instructions

  1. 1.

Soak the raisins in rum. Preheat the oven to 180 °C with upper and lower heat. Wash the apples and use an apple corer to remove the core from the top, being careful not to pierce all the way through. Rub the inside of each apple with a little butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

  2. 2.

Roast the almond sticks in a dry pan until golden brown. Remove from heat and let cool. Mix the raisins with the almonds, fill the apples, place them in a greased baking dish, drizzle with the remaining butter, and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon and sugar.

  3. 3.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes. Warm the honey in between. Plate the apples, pour warm honey over them, and serve immediately.
