Red Wine Sorbet

A special dessert perfect for guests, featuring a refreshing red wine sorbet with strawberries from Spoonsparrow.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml red wine
  • 3 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 100 g sugar
  • 500 g strawberries
  • 2 sprigs Mint

Instructions

    Simmer the red wine with lemon juice and sugar in a pot for about 4 minutes to make a syrup. Transfer the syrup to a bowl and let it cool.

    Wash, peel, puree the strawberries and strain through a sieve. Mix the syrup with the purée and pour into a chilled bowl.

    Place the sorbet mixture in a shallow dish and freeze for about 6 hours. During the first 2 hours stir every 30 minutes; thereafter stir every 60 minutes with an immersion blender until smooth.
